From his first works, exhibited in the mid-eighties, Jorge Galindo interspersed painting with photographic collages. Galindo's work is close to gestural abstraction, granting a special relevance to the interventions of chance and material aspects. From the nineties, photomontages date in which he uses images from the media illustrated in the fifties and sixties and in which a criticism of the consumer society is expressed. His first exhibition takes place in the Víctor Martín Gallery (Madrid, 1989). Since 1993, he has introduced words and texts into his work. In 1994 he exhibited at the Soledad Lorenzo Gallery. Galindo's work has been developed through series with a clear thematic unit, although expressed with stylistic resources of complex variety. In 1996 he began his series Patchwork, in which he contributed various fabrics to the canvas. In his work, the mixture between photography and painting produces exacerbated visual sets, which sometimes approach kitsch . Among his most important series include Animal painting, La vie des bêtes, exhibited in Space One of MNCARS. During the years 1996-98 Jorge Galindo made the least widespread of his series, the Patchwork.
