In conjunction with her exhibition Forking Paths, Melbourne artist Briony Barr led a Tabula Rasa - large rule based drawing made in collaboration with gallery goers.

'Straight lines only' was the established rule and from it, an elaborate drawing evolved over the space of 3 days. Briony and fellow artist Lauren Simmonds monitored the drawing, editing & allowing rules to be broken when they presented new & interesting alternate paths or directions for the drawing. In other instances the artists edited and removed marks,  regrouping the drawing and continuing it along according to the primary rule.
